Winding up the story of Fillory which has its existential crisis around the same time as its rulers and its one big exile, Quentin Coldwater. Most everything gets sorted in the end, even matters which I didn't think would be revisited, (Though I was expecting more from the reappearance of Julia.) Everyone's flaws are on display front and center as always - if you like that, then it's great, if not, you'll probably find yourself putting down the series long before this installment.

By far, the most enjoyable book of the series. I had some difficulty trying to figure out if I liked the first book since it focused so much on the angsty teen crap. This one left all of that behind and zeroed in on going on weird adventures. I have no idea how Grossman thinks up this stuff. He has a fantastic imagination. I hope that there is some sort of follw-up to this, whether it is another book (or trilogy) or movie.
