Review of 'Tao of Pooh (The Wisdom of Pooh)' on 'Goodreads'

2 stars

After recently reading Julian Baggini's How the World Thinks, I fancied finding about a bit more about Tao. This is not really the place to do it, but in some way that fits in well with this book as the author sees the pursuit of knowledge as a pointless waste of life. There is a little of value in here about enjoying life by living it, but this nugget of wisdom can be better gained in other books. The best bits are the extended quotations from Winnie the Pooh and House at Pooh Corner. It's funny how those books for children are not patronising at all, contrasting with the apparent disdain this book has for people. It's a short read, but I'd still give it a miss.
