Review of 'The Last Battle (Chronicles of Narnia, #7)' on 'Goodreads'

This time through, I was struck by how painfully sad this book was. It's melancholy, even as Lewis is trying to assure you how happy it is; like reading the Bible verse about how "these light and momentary afflictions are preparing a greater weight of glory" even as you experience great pain and not knowing how that could ever be possible. Lewis's strength is in illustrating that, and this whole book is about that concept.
