A pretty complicated and controversial topic, figure and art style, I have been pretty spoiled lately by some pretty stellar historic graphic novels, so this one really only felt like a mixed bag to me.
While I totally get why she has been maligned so much over the years, I do feel like it would have been nice to see more showing me how untrue these allegations are rather than just telling me a couple of times near the end. I also felt like some of the depictions of other races was a bit less than respectful, which certainly didn't lend me to trusting Bagge so absolutely as they seemed to require.
The art style felt like it really reflected Sanger's attitude pretty well. She was certainly a force of nature to be reckoned with and not afraid of being disliked. I certainly hope this did not detract from my …

I certainly hope this did not detract from my overall appreciation for her and this book, but I cannot in good conscious say that my opinions are 100% devoid of this particularly annoying bit of misogyny.
