Literally Graphic reviewed Red power by Brian Wright-McLeod
Review of 'Red power' on 'Goodreads'
3 stars
Way too short, it seems like this was supposed to be the beginning of something that never quite took off. Understandable I suppose. How many things do any of us creative types never complete?
That said, the volume does read as a complete story. Certainly packing in a lot more then I was expecting from such a slim volume. I really felt like the story submerged me in the character's mindset. Weaving historical reality with more spiritual realities of the people.
The artwork was a little less impressive. Certainly not bad, but some of the panels felt like they disappeared in a cloud of graphite. So more contrast would have been nice.
