I absolutely LOVED this book. I was a little skeptical about the first book but I decided to give this one a go as I knew setting up a whole world and 2 different cultures would make a book a bit tedious. but I loved Damikos and Varazda in that book. So the decision to read on was easy. If I loved them in Book 1 I absolutely ADORED them in Book 2. I mean even though they've basically known each other for all of 2 weeks (in person), and it comes off as Insta-Love it really isn't. Both these characters have gone through something traumatic in their lives to some degree and they met in a situation that pitted them together. But both of them still have issues that they are working through by communicating, even if it takes them a while to open up. There was a mystery in this book but that played second fiddle to the relationship between the MC's and I appreciated seeing that. I am definitely looking forward to the conclusion of their story in the next book.
