Review of 'Midnight Library' on 'Goodreads'

2 stars

Five-star premise.
Deduct one star for the shallowness of the characters.
Deduct one-half star because the protagonist has less grief and loss than I did at her age yet enough reason to pack it in.
Deduct one star because her location and vocation change, but never her diet, never her health. She's depressed, she could go to NHS. She could be tested for nutritional deficiency. Where are the mood supports?
Deduct one-half star because she's supposed to be into philosophy but knows nothing of the Four Noble Truths.
