I only knew about this and read it because it is one of the books in this year's Canada Reads. I don't know how it fits the year's theme, and it doesn't feel at all Canadian (despite the nationality of the author), but that shouldn't take away from the book itself.

I love him because he's super-intelligent, fascinating, charismatic, handsome, nearly superhuman in every way, he made a music video in space, he's a natural educator, and it turns out that he's a talented author.
