I don't usually rate books, let alone give five stars, but this one fully deserves it. Wonderfully moving without being sentimental, and well written. Plausible characters, a good plot, pleasantly paced, and though it's not meant to be a hilarious book, the jokes are really good. Looking forward to Ms Vanderah's next book.
