Liane Moriarty: Big Little Lies (Paperback, 2017, Berkley) 5 stars

From the author of Truly Madly Guilty and The Husband s Secret comes a novel …

This absolutely smashed.

This was a fantastic read. It took me a little bit to really be able to track the characters because of the multiple POVs, but that's standard for me.

The pacing was great, the timing between the POVs was great, the parts between chapters contributed to the tension. Not knowing from the get-go who it was that died added a crazy amount of suspense. Especially once the trivia night happens and you're hoping to all things holy that it's not one of the girls. chef's kiss

I adored all of the characters. Though Madeline was by far my favorite. I cared about what was going on in their lives and really wanted to see everything be resolved.

The insanity of the parents in their school hierarchy was fantastically done as well. I can't believe that I took this long to read it. I thought that it was going to be a case of an over-hyped book, but this 1000% lived up to the hype and for me honestly exceeded it. Highly recommend.
