This being the third book I've read by Chester Brown it was certainly the most disappointing thus far.

That said, it really wasn't that bad. The art was a lot more detailed then Paying for it or Mary Wept - but I couldn't help but feel like it left me rather unsatisfied. Compared to his later works, this feels a little self-indulgent. But becoming more interesting over the course of one's career is far from earth shatteringly surprising. I'll definitely be checking out more of his work. This guy gets major points with me for talking so extensively about his own sexuality in such a positive and seemingly genuinly woman loving way.
