I enjoy a wide variety of genres. I am surrounded by hundreds of dead tree books, but am mostly listening to audiobooks right now.

Marie Lu: The Kingdom of Back (Hardcover, 2020, G. P. Putnam's Sons, an imprint of Penguin Random House LLC)

Born with a gift for music, Nannerl Mozart has just one wish: to be remembered …

Fascinating YA fantasy that is firmly rooted in historical fact. This is told from the POV of Mozart's sister, who was also a musical prodigy. A fun, thrilling read about the danger of bargaining with the fae and also about the misogyny that has killed the beauty that women could have brought to the world.

Margaret Atwood: The Blind Assassin (2001) No rating

I absolutely loved this book. The prose is beautiful and rich. There is a story within a story within a story. It's very touching. It's the kind of story that could have been written as a thriller, but Atwood wrote it instead as a beautiful story of love and loss. I'll remember this book for a long time.

Brandon Sanderson: Warbreaker (AudiobookFormat, 2015, Recorded Books, Inc. and Blackstone Publishing)

After bursting onto the fantasy scene with his acclaimed debut novel, Elantris, and following up …

The first Sanderson I've read. Very enjoyable. I enjoyed the magic of breath and colors.
