The Unseen Nook&Canny finished reading Thicker than Water by Ken Lussey
Not sure what to say. It was too perfect. Only at one point the story got a bit thrilling. Everything else fit simply too perfect. It’s an easy read, though.
People have been a tad too kind, too supportive, too boring. There was never a moment when I couldn’t put away the book at any given time.
A bit disturbing was the name dropping of some brands. Too often for my taste. At one point I was wondering if the author gets a commission for it.
The end of the book left me a bit puzzled. What? It felt like the author lost motivation and wanted to book to end rather quickly. It was a bit disappointing.
The end did come as a surprise but not in a good way. Maybe I kinda expected sth. different. When reading the title I thought the culprit might be - in some way - related to the persons alive.
However, 4 Stars because I loved that the story takes place in the year 2024. The description of the places and people .. I truly loved it .. most likely because I’ve been there to travel the routes and found some more travel destinations for my next trip to Scotland.
