Brilliant book but like all of Bernard Cornwell's series I needed half the book to get "into the flow". I truly enjoy his writing.
He tells the story from the POV of Derfel. The arthurian legend told in a different way, based on historical facts (which I like a lot).
Highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in history but find it very boring ;)
The story is all about Nesta and Cassian and imho the best of all the books. It's almost a stand alone book but of course it helps to know what happened before. Again, I didn't like the ending. Very lame with too many loose ends. I can only hope that the author will bring herself to write a 6th one.
Enjoyed reading it. I didn't like the ending. The book was thrilling and knowing The Warrior Chronicles by Bernard Cornwell I truly enjoyed the war scenes. Reminded me of the Viking strategies. A friend said it was a bit dragging which I cannot agree with. But the end was just flat, too quick as if she wanted it to be done.
