I started this book thinking it would be not so interesting. Quite a lot of urban fantasy becomes a bit repetitive after many books in the series. But I was reminded why I really enjoy Brigg's Mercy Thompson books. They are always an enjoyable read, with complexity and surprises. They remain some of my favorite urban fantasy books.
