Prison of Grief
5 stars
This is a tale of what happens when love and grief pull one's soul in different directions. But when one tries to preserve love, it ossifies. And when one tries to end the pain, it kills the memories. And when one finally escapes the prison of the soul that these contradictory desires can create, you cannot always make your friends to follow.
Perhaps not always logical in terms of plot, the story remains true to its emotional heart. The author's love of language remains undeniable, his mastery of it is obvious. Oftentimes whimsical and full of poetry, the story is deep at its heart.
