Hilary Fitzgerald Campbell: Murder Book (2021, Andrews McMeel Publishing)

Too Long and Disjointed

This review title pretty much describes the whole book. While it was fun to read and learn about famous murderers in the US because it was presented in comic form, it wasn't enjoyable to keep going back every chapter to the author's reasons for liking true crime.

Well Researched and Written

I would have given the book 5 stars if I was fascinated by the subject matter, but near the end, I realized I wasn't that invested, mainly because I had started reading the book years after the height of the #MeToo movement and already knew what happened to Weinstein. Overall, it thoroughly documents frustrating injustices with good prose.

Nita Prose: The Maid (Hardcover, 2022, Ballantine Books)

I read this around two years ago and didn't enjoy it much. There was no murder mystery per se and I found it a bit childish.

I wanted to read this book to understand why it's hard for some people to be organized, and it's insightful. I wish there was more content.
