Sam quoted Socialism... Seriously by Danny Katch
The executives and investors who own most of the oil, gas, and coal in the ground are an extremely tiny fraction of the world’s population. Some of them might be kind fathers and good friends, but they are also genocidal sociopaths who think it’s more important to get the best return on their investment than to worry about poisoning us all.
This is something I constantly feel doesn't get talked about enough. I get push back for saying something bad about politicians or healthcare execs all the time because that person is "so nice". Being "nice" is the bare minimum. It barely counts at all and it's certainly not the beginning and end of judging morality. Furthermore, even if we care about being nice, we still have to ask "to whom?"
