I really enjoyed this collection. I was drawn in by how much humanity was conveyed through typically vilified “monsters”, exactly right up my alley. If you enjoyed How High We Go In The Dark, this has much of the emotion and empathy with a more traditional short story format. Plus kaiju, oni, yokai, and kappa!
