The bestselling authors of "The Relic" deliver a "highly readable tale of adventure and long-ago crimes" ("Dallas Morning News"). An archeologist goes in search of the fabled Lost City of Gold, an expedition her father had begun 16 years earlier before he mysteriously vanished in southeast Utah.

This book was recommended due to my love of a podcast called White Vault. I recently started delving into reading again after a long break and was excited to read something with exploration, suspense and some supernatural sprinkled in there. Thunderhead was everything I was looking for and even more. It was an absolute page turner for me and I had a hard time putting it down. It was a heavy read with a lot of information and detail provided, but I was not deterred and breezed right along. Highly recommend this book and am going to be looking into more of the Preston/Child books.
