Catship reviewed Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs (Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children, #1)
Doesn't work for me
I appreciate many of the choices that were made to create this story, but I simply don't like it.

A horrific family tragedy sends sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of an old orphanage that was home to children who were more than just peculiar, but possibly dangerous--and who may still be alive. Illustrated with vintage found photographs.

3.5/5 stars
So I liked this book and it kept me coming for more. The use of photos was awesome. But Jacob was weird, and not in a good way. To see my full and in detail review see the link below:
