In a future Chicago, sixteen-year-old Beatrice Prior must choose among five predetermined factions to define her identity for the rest of her life, a decision made more difficult when she discovers that she is an anomoly who does not fit into any one group, and that the society she lives in is not perfect after all.
Fabulous.
It took me much longer than I thought it would to get into the story. I ended up liking it quite a bit and think I'll continue on with the next part of the trilogy.
Interesting premise, interesting story.
And no relation to Katniss.
Wooooah what a great book! I really don't normally go for the whole post-apocalyptic/dystopian kind of thing. But if they're like this I might have to reconsider my opinion.
The main character is entrancing. I just fell in love with her. She's strong but not in the normal way. She grows, learns, it's interesting. And the people around her are interesting too. The story is page-turning, I could NOT put this book down.
