Fat Charlie is more funny than expected

Fat Charlie has a comfortable life in London and a lovely fiancée whose mother is hell on Earth. Fat Charlie cannot say his life is everything he has ever dreamt of, but when his father dies and he learns he is the son of a god and that he has a brother, the life he knows and Rosie are gone and Fat Charlie wants it back.

This book was a brilliant surprise. Whether you like or do not like American Gods, give this a try because there is nothing in common between the two except that there are gods in it. Fat Charlie, Spider, Rosie, Rosie's mother and Daisy are characters that we easily care about but I wasn't expecting the humour. This book is way funnier than it should be because it is beautifuly written, the characters and story evolve in a very satisfying way and it even has …

Totally different from American Gods, but still really enjoyable (as usual with Neil Gaiman). This is some a classic story of two brothers getting to know each other and their differences, sprinkled by mythology, music and a lot of jokes, which made it quite different. Fat Charly, the main protagonist, starts by being quite a loser but you grow fond of him as the pages are turning, and same goes for his brother Spider, in quite a different way. The whole book is full of music, and will leave you with a bright smile on your face.

What can I say I love Neil Gaiman, if you check out how many books I've read by him. This is a great story taking one of the Gods from his first book American Gods. Mr. Nancy boys are grown and still causing trouble. Well, not both of them, but together they learn a lot about themselves and each other.
